Deeper have unveiled a new video for “Run,” following a sold out hometown show in support of their “Run” 7”, released last week on Fire Talk. The video was directed by Noble Savage and uses playful stop motion to match the track’s frenetic energy. The band describes the video as…
“We’ve all felt guilty after sitting too long on a computer or phone and wish we weren’t so tethered to these devices. For ‘Run’ we wanted to show the catharsis of getting free from these screens, but in a playful way that captures the upbeat spirit of the song. The main character slowly destroys a computer throughout the video, but is constantly grappling with it overtaking him. While the character succeeds, the end of the video finds him right back where he started – watching another screen. Playing around with stop motion was a fun way to incorporate these sentiments without the tone coming off as too dire or dystopian.”
