2-day workshop at the amazing Warehouse 508 in Albuquerque!
Step into the Parkwell Project, a self-sufficient mobile collaborative workspace and home nestled within the shell an old 35-ft transit bus. During the two-day workshop students will have an opportunity to explore the space, ask questions, and get a feel for small space living before diving into design and construction basics with creators Austin LeMoine & Troy Chebs. Topics will include design philosophy, working with recycled materials, solar electricity, heating & cooling, water systems, food preservation and dealing with waste. The class will also check out other rigs from around the globe, brainstorm and draw their own living spaces, and explore other alternatives to contemporary living. Participants will walk away with a better understanding of what off-grid living entails and the general knowledge necessary to begin designing a rig or home of their own.
